Resumen

El presente estudio, de corte descriptivo e inferencial, tiene como objetivo fundamental determinar la opinión de los directivos de los centros Educativos no universitarios (España), con relación al acceso a la función directiva desde la perspectiva de su elección o selección por la Comunidad Educativa por un lado y a las dificultades y necesidades formativas percibidas, por otro. Para este fin, se ha seleccionado una muestra de directivos mediante procedimientos probabilísticos, diseñándose a través de una metodología cuantitativa, un cuestionario al efecto para conocer sus opiniones desde su práctica en los centros educativos. Los resultados obtenidos apuntan de forma global, hacia la necesidad de abordar la problemática de la función directiva, detectando un amplio abanico de dificultades e intereses relativos a la participación de la comunidad educativa en el proceso selectivo, desde las reformas legislativas llevadas a cabo en España en las últimas décadas, a las múltiples necesidades formativas en el ámbito de sus funciones y responsabilidades.

Abstract

The basic purpose of this descriptive and inferential study is to determine the opinion of the directors and managers of non-university education centres in the province of Jaén (Spain) regarding access to the management function from the point of view of their election or selection by the educational community, on one hand, and the educational difficulties and needs perceived, on the other. To do this, we selected a sample of directorial-level staff using probabilistic procedures, and designed a quantitative questionnaire in order to find out their opinions in the context of their practice. Overall, the results obtained point to the need to deal with the problem of the management function, detecting a wide range of difficulties and interests relating to the participation of the community in the selection process, from the legislation reforms carried out in Spain in recent decades to the multiple needs of education in the sphere of its functions and responsibilities.
