Resumen

En el presente artículo, utilizando la etnografía feminista como metodología de estudio, se han analizado los diferentes modelos de género alcoyanos y las ubicaciones de éstos dentro de la pirámide del prestigio y el poder de la Fiesta de Moros y Cristianos. Dicho análisis ha ayudado a comprender las razones del conflicto socio-festivo en el que está inmersa la sociedad alcoyana desde que hace trece años, Nuria Martínez se convirtiese en la primera mujer con derechos en el rito alcoyano.

Abstract

In the present paper, feminist ethnography was used as investigation methodology to analyze different gender models for the alcoian society, with special emphasis on their position within the prestige and power pyramid of the Moors and Christian Festivity. This analysis improves on the existing knowledge of the reasons for the social conflict in which the alcoian society has been immersed during the last thirteen years when Nuria Martínez became the first woman with rights in the up-to then masculine alcoian rite.
